Time adjustment deletes EXIF Date/Time data If the ACDSee Quick View option is disabled and ACDSee Pro 7 is opened by clicking on an image file, the "Find Duplicates." option is missing from the Tools menu.

Pro 6 has the same problem.įind Duplicate… function is not always displayed When Compare Images is used, Pro 7 displays the error message "The parameter is incorrect" when the Date/Time Original is earlier than 1970. I've scanned many old photos and set the Date/Time Original to the approximate date of when they were taken. The Develop sidecar file (.xmp) is also deleted. If you copy an Edited or Developed photo to a different folder, say for example to your desktop for grouping with like photos for geotagging, and then move it back to its original location by dragging it from outside the ACDSee window and dropping it into the folder displayed in the Manage view or a folder in the Folders pane, the original image that was in the hidden folder will be deleted and it will not appear in the recycle bin. Original photo not being sent to recycle bin I’m using Pro 7 however, I had the same problem with Pro 6. I haven’t been able to work out why the metadata doesn’t always show up. That pulls the data out of the files and into ACDSee most of the time. When this happens I select the affected image(s) in the Manage view and use the menu item Tools/Metadata/Rebuild Thumbnails and Metadata.

Sometimes all the data is missing and sometimes just some of it. Occasionally my photo metadata is not displayed in the Properties pane. Metadata not always displayed in Properties Pane In the Search panel Properties option, when I select ACDSee Metadata and Tagged, I cannot change the 'True' to 'False'. Pro 8 didn't drop a single keyword from any of the photos throughout the entire test.Įxtensive testing ( see this post) provided further confidence in ACDSee Pro 8's handling of IPTC keywords.ĭuplicate keywords in IPTC Keyword Picker Pro 7 dropped a keyword from 1,477 when the first test keyword was added, and dropped another keyword from 3,218 photos when the test keyword was removed. Working with a batch of 4,843 photos, I added and removed test keywords four times, and then resized the entire batch. Initial testing of Pro 7 and Pro 8 confirmed the problem in Pro 7 and showed that the problem appears to have been resolved in Pro 8. Three installations on Windows XP 32bit and Windows 7 64bit have produced the same result. When making adds and deletes to the IPTC keywords of many photos at once, ACDSee Pro 7 often removes one or more of the existing embedded keywords from numerous photos. The status of the bug in ACDSee Pro 8 is in red.Įxisting IPTC keywords being removed from photos The following bugs existed in ACDSee Pro 7.
